Enlarged image – a bit blurry due to digital re-sizing – and yes, the entire dress was of this magnificent hand-made lace. I can’t begin to fathom the hours of work involved. Or the price.

    • It is amazing to me how many of these have survived. The owner had enough money that she probably didn’t have to wear it more than once. I imagine it was worn once, put away and carefully cared for through the years. How lucky for us!
