Your Weekend Wow!

How about a nice little silk coat for those chilly evenings out on the town? Hard to refuse, especially with such eye-popping dimensional needlework and the sharp contrast of metallic gold braid on black silk. The peacock is pretty darned impressive, but I especially love the cherry blossoms.

    • I love the simple, clean look on the front that contrasts so sharply with the massive amount of gold embroidery on the back. That’s one way to make sure eyes follow you through a room. However, I can’t help but wonder – with all that gold concentrated on the back, how did the wearer keep the shoulders in place? Gold is heavy, silk is light and slippery…it must have had a tendency to creep backwards. But I’d take it any day, never mind the bother. 🙂
