I’m not particularly fond of American Civil War Era (1860-1864) fashions. Full hoop skirts don’t do much for me. But the fabrics and trims are absolutely wonderful, so I can forgive the shape if it’s transformed into something spectacular by the makings. This one always makes me smile. Unfortunately, the museum’s website only shows the evening bodice. But what a bodice it is!
